Interior Engineer

How you keep the engine running with us

In this role as an Interior Engineer, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at enhancing and maintaining aircraft interiors to the highest standards. This includes crafting custom aircraft interior parts like tables, walls, and cabinets, working closely with design engineering to ensure adherence to specifications and customer requirements. Additionally, you'll be involved in converting or refreshing aircraft interiors to VIP standards, ensuring luxurious and comfortable accommodations.

You'll also handle the modification and reupholstering of interior components, utilizing your skills to enhance functionality and aesthetics. Performing inspections, repairs, overhauls, and modifications of interior components will be part of your routine, ensuring safety and compliance with aviation regulations.

In addition to hands-on tasks, you'll play a crucial role in managing tools, machinery, and molds, ensuring they're well-maintained and operational to support production needs effectively. Furthermore, you'll actively contribute to the continuous improvement of production methods and processes, leveraging your expertise to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

How you are valuable to us

  • Minimum completed MBO education, specializing in technology;
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within, for example, kitchen construction, shipbuilding, or interior construction;
  • Experience in reading drawings, working with quality systems, tools, and necessary machinery related to working with plastics and metals;
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations;
  • Manual dexterity;
  • Good oral communication in Dutch and technical reading in English.
