How you keep the engine running with us

In this department, as a CNC operator/programmer, you will independently manufacture and process aircraft parts using CNC-controlled milling machines. It is unique because you are responsible for the entire process from A to Z in a high mix-low volume environment.

You will also be involved in the following tasks:

  • Checking the material and gathering the necessary templates;
  • Verifying whether previous operations have been carried out according to machining instructions and discussing deviations with the responsible person;
  • Checking the measuring tools to be used, including calibration;
  • Setting up, adjusting, and fine-tuning (CNC) milling machines for various tasks;
  • Inspecting/measuring performed tasks according to procedures;
  • Approving and releasing parts for the next production step;
  • Checking the work package and machining instructions and looking up work instructions.

How you are valuable to us

  • MBO level; education in metal or machine engineering supplemented with a successfully completed turning or milling course;
  • Machining knowledge and experience of 5-10 years in the metal industry. Note: If you're a beginner and you identify with the profile, contact us for a career path at Fokker Techniek;
  • Affinity with Heidenhain machine control is a plus;
  • Knowledge of work instructions, drawings, and machining proposals;
  • Knowledge of required software programs and ERP systems.
