How you keep the engine running with us

As Business Controller play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and success of the Project and Engineering organization. You are responsible for analyzing financial data, monitoring budgets, project control, managing risks, identifying areas for improvement, and providing advice to management. As a Business Controller, you are the direct sparring partner of the Director Completion and Engineering services.

The business

The business line is involved in completion services (design, engineering, component production, and installation) for VIP and Special Mission aircrafts and provides engineering consultancy services.

Position in the Organization

The Business Controller reports to the Senior Business Controller at Fokker Techniek and is part of the Fokker Services Group Finance Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Co-pilot:

  • As a member of the Management Team of the Completion and Engineering organization, ensure, from a financial perspective, that the organization achieves its goals.

Project Control:

  • Ensuring effective project control for completion projects.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conducting analyses to provide insight into the financial performance of the company.
  • Developing business cases to support management in decisions regarding new projects and investments.
  • Preparing financial reports and presenting them to the organization.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborating with management to prepare budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitoring budgets against actual performance and providing variance analysis to identify areas of concern or opportunity.

Risk Management:

  • Identifying financial risks and playing a role in managing these.
  • Implementing internal controls and procedures to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Process Optimization:

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in financial reporting and analysis.

Location:

The role is based in Woensdrecht, but also requires presence at our Hoofddorp location every other week.

How you are valuable to us

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. RC/CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Familiarity with financial ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.
